O ENGAJAMENTO DA IGREJA NA ARENA PÚBLICA NO CONTEXTO AFRICANO

Abstract

The phenomenal growth of the African Church brings with it numerous challenges. It is necessary to intensify the ministry of teaching and discipleship in the African church. This requires adequate instruments to assist workers, civil society, pastors, seminarians, theologians, lay preachers and Christian education teachers in order to exercise their vocations in the public arena. Therefore, the article discusses the nature of the church in the public arena in the African context. The article praises a theology relevant to the African context that emerges from the reality of the African himself and that initiates the engagement of the African church in the public arena considering the religious, social, environmental, political, and economic context of the African people.
